Idee Migranti Onlus was founded in 2006 in Milan with the goal of promoting international cooperation projects for the advancement of socio-economic and cultural projects with local communities in developing nations. In Italy the non-profit organization carries out reasearch, awareness campaigns and fund raising. Currently there are projects in Uganda for distance adoptions and in Albania in support of the women of the Zuri community.
